Healthy recipe: Date dessert

  • 1 cup of dates
  • 1/2 cup of nuts (any variety)
  • 1 apple
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 cup cream

Cut the dates into strips and grind the nuts.
Grate the lemon rind,
chop the apples, and mix all ingredients
together with the cream.

 

Healthy recipe: ‘Happy' compote

  • 1 cup dates
  • 1/2 cup bilberries or blueberries
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp honey

Place the dates in a litre of water and place on a low heat until they soften.
Then add the bilberries, cubes of sliced lemon, and honey. Cook for 5 minutes.
